Propane tanks aren't pretty and almost certainly don't fit the aesthetic you want to create for your outdoor space. However, they are necessary to run a propane gas fire pit.

So, here are some of our top tips for hiding propane tanks to maintain the ambiance you want:
Tank Lids- Many gas fire pit manufacturers produce tank lids made from the same materials as the fire pit. Here we see a concrete cap. These are great because you can also use them as temporary tables.
Griddles - Hiding your propane tank behind a griddle is a cost-effective way to solve this problem. They are also easy to install on your own, which is great.
Garden Plants- Another simple solution is to hide the propane tank behind some garden plants. Some beautiful plants grow nice and tall and nice and thick, which means that your tank is hidden out of sight and instead you have a beautiful, lush garden to look at.
Some of our favorite plants are wisteria (you can even get artificial wisteria if you don't mind the maintenance), bamboo, or butterfly bush.
Tabletop - You can even hide your propane tanks underneath the table, which is not an eyesore and provides an excellent space to place your items.
