🔆Daily cleaning

Burning residues: After each use, wait for the fire pit to completely cool down and promptly clean the internal burning residues, such as unburned wood, ash, etc. Long handled brooms, shovels, and other tools can be used to clean up the residue, keeping the interior of the fire pit clean and preventing excessive ash accumulation from affecting the next combustion effect.

Surface cleaning: Regularly wipe the surface of the fire pit with a clean damp cloth to remove dust, stains, etc. For stubborn stains, a mild cleaning agent can be used to gently wipe them, but it is important to avoid using cleaning agents containing acidic or corrosive components to prevent damage to the rust layer on the surface of the Corten steel and affect its protective performance.

🔆Rust proof

Natural rust layer maintenance: The rust layer on the surface of Corten steel is its natural protective barrier, and in daily use, it should be avoided as much as possible to damage this rust layer. Do not scratch the surface of the fire pit with sharp objects to prevent damage to the rust layer, which may expose the internal metal and cause corrosion. If the rust layer is found to have partial detachment or damage, it can be naturally oxidized for repair. Generally, in a natural environment, the rust layer will gradually regrow and cover the damaged area.
Special case handling: In some harsh environments (such as high humidity and high salt areas), the Keteng steel fire pit may experience accelerated rusting. At this point, it is possible to consider using specialized anti rust paint to protect the fire pit. Before applying anti rust paint, it is necessary to clean the surface of the fire pit to ensure that there are no impurities such as dust and oil stains. Then, apply the anti rust paint evenly according to the product instructions to enhance the anti rust ability of the fire pit and extend its service life.

🔆Storage precautions

Long term non use: If the fire pit is not used for a long time, it should be placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid rainwater immersion and humid environment. A cover (such as waterproof cloth) can be used to cover the fire pit, preventing dust and debris from entering, while reducing the erosion of the fire pit by the natural environment.
Winter storage: In the cold winter, if the fire pit is outdoors and may face freezing, the water in the fire pit should be completely drained (if there is water accumulation) to prevent water from freezing and expanding, causing damage to the fire pit. For detachable components, it may be considered to disassemble and store them to reduce space occupation and facilitate maintenance.
