Modular Corten Steel Planters Roof Terrace Installation

The entire roof deck features our modular planter design. Our Gnee Graden Corten steel planters are assembled from five panels. The modular design is very inexpensive to manufacture and can accommodate a variety of popular sizes. These planters have a footprint of 2 feet wide by 4 feet long. The shorter planters are 18 inches tall to match the height of the IPE benches, while the taller planters are 36 inches tall and can accommodate bamboo.

The planters are mounted in a 24-inch x 24-inch square grid with height-adjustable Bison or SpiraPave bases covered with concrete and IPE trim. Corten steel planters are installed in a grid base with a gap between the concrete pavement and the Corten steel planters. This allows drainage from the planters to drain directly to the subfloor, thus preventing the concrete pavers from becoming soiled.

Each planter is equipped with an irrigation hose for automatic watering. The steel planters are filled with gravel for drainage and a soil mix is added to grow the plants.
