一: How to easily get your garden bed ready for winter
At by GNEE, where we specialise in raised beds and planter boxes in corten steel, galvanised steel and black painted steel, we share four simple tips to prepare your garden beds for winter.
1. Clean up the bed:
Remove weeds and old plant debris to give your overwintering plants the best conditions. Even though it's winter, weeds can still survive and grow in your beds, so weeding is important.

2. Add a layer of compost
Give your plants a nutrient-rich start to spring by covering the bed with compost. Use organic waste such as vegetable peelings and old plant scraps or choose pre-purchased soil conditioner.

3. Add new soil continuously
As the soil in your raised bed collapses, you can add an even layer of fresh topsoil. Combine this with compost to ensure a nutrient-rich soil structure that will favour plant growth next year.
