Corten Steel Steps are a great way to add flair to your garden. These steps are made from 3mm thick Corten Steel, which naturally weathers to a rich patina. Initially a blue steel, once exposed to the elements it will naturally weather to a rich and striking finish. This natural fixed layer of rust prevents further corrosion. During the weathering process, Corten steel produces carbides that can stain neighboring materials such as stone or concrete. After the initial reaction period, Corten steel will cure and self-seal with little to no carbon loss.
