Corten Steel Steps are a great way to add flair to your garden. These steps are made from 3mm thick Corten Steel, which naturally weathers to a rich patina.
Starting out as blue steel, once exposed to the elements it will naturally weather to form a rich patina. This natural layer of fixed rust prevents further corrosion.

During the weathering process, Corten steel produces carbides that can stain neighboring materials such as stone or concrete. To minimize this possible staining, all products have small feet that lift the planter and prevent direct contact with flooring materials. After the initial reaction period, the Corten steel will cure and self-seal with little to no carbon loss.
