Vegetable planters are a useful addition to any garden as they provide you with the perfect designated space to place your vegetables. When purchasing a vegetable planter, you may ask how to grow a variety of vegetables in a particular planter.
Pecan Pumpkin.
We love pecan pumpkins because they are delicious, have interesting shapes, and a lovely beige color. We recommend making Pecan Butternut Squash Risotto, which is usually full of flavor!
We recommend sowing Pecan Pumpkin seeds in 7cm deep multi-purpose compost pots in April, then transplanting them into larger pots and then into containers or soil in late May. They then usually grow from late May to early June. Try to keep the plants weed-free and make sure the soil contains fertilizer.
When harvesting pecan pumpkins, try to keep them on the vine so they stay as fresh as possible. However, they should all be picked at the first frost.

Carrots.
Carrots are the perfect vegetable for beginners to grow. Growing carrots is very useful as they can be used in many meals, which can save you money on buying carrots at the supermarket! Due to their size, they won't take over your garden and can be grown in a variety of vegetable planters. Short or rounddrooted carrots are best when planted in vegetable pots, but long-rooted varieties are suitable if the pot is particularly deep or the soil is very deep. When using vegetable planters as raised beds, provides deeper root space for vegetables to flourish. On top of that, Corten steel is an excellent material for growing vegetables like carrots because it is strong, durable, and long-lasting. Weather-resistant steel vegetable planters also come in a gorgeous amber color, which is a great identifier for your carrots since they are similar in color!

Peas.
Peas are also great for meals, such as using them in curries and salads, and serving them with fish or pies! When growing peas, remember that peas and sweet peas are usually most successful when grown in the garden.
Peas should usually be sown between March and June, but make sure the soil is not wet and cold. This time it is necessary to dig a trench larger than a carrot, about 2 inches deep and 6 inches wide. To sow, spread the seeds evenly, about 3 inches apart, and cover with a thin layer of soil.
As the peas begin to grow, water them at flowering and two weeks later. As the peas grow upwards, it is important to tie them to bamboo poles and trellises. This is because they need enough height to grow freely. We recommend using lower vegetable pots, such as 100x100x40cm pots, as they are free to reach the required height. Peas still need plenty of water as they grow, so keep this in mind.
When you harvest your peas, check the first pea pod and make sure it contains peas of about typical size. This is usually from June through October, just in time for delicious pea soup and warm winter pies!
